But I saw the Bering Strait and the Golden Gate In silent suspension of their golden age!
We had a three day weekend here in the US, and I made the most of it. Usually, I hate three day weekends, but this was the nicest I've had in ages.
I had a full-bore crying meltdown on Saturday morning. It's been a rough one.
My friend Lauren and I used my zoo membership to go to the zoo!
It was overcast (which I love), and because it was later in the morning, less animals were out, but it was still nice to be there and see the ones out who were.
My friend has returned!
And this new scary one!!!
I was just here a couple weeks ago, and I didn't take as many photos as I usually do, but I did take plenty of the fragrance garden.
I ordered Dippin' Dots to spite certain people. :)
I had my first canoli! It was so good!
HIMB.
I bought myself this kid shirt. No, I will never change.
Sunday, my mom and I did brunch at CΓ΄te Ouest (a fave), went to see the new Mary Blair exhibition, and walked the Golden Gate Bridge for the anniversary (which is actually today):
My food.
My mom's.
Some Briar Patch in the middle of night blooming jasmine.
The new Mary Blair exhibition:
Truthfully? It was just okay. The one from 11 years ago was much nicer. It was larger, and the variety of the art was better. If the one from 11 years ago had not happened, I would be more impressed with this one. It was still cute and I still enjoyed it, but it was definitely a letdown.
We then visited my great-grandparents in the National Cemetery:
May we one day live in a world that doesn't need a Memorial Day.
Anyone who says that this is overrated and immediately get lost.
This was all poison oak and all the tourists were standing in it taking photos.
Yes, we went through this, and, yes, it was terrifying (lol).
I've always wanted to live in one of these houses.
I regret not buying one of these.
The boys being cute.
Yesterday, we went to go see my grandparents.
My grandpa's name is on this memorial.
Forced to suffer at the hardware store....
But rewarded with a treat after! :D
This was so funny, I hope they caught it before it was too late, lmao.
